Senior Veterinary Oncologist

Olá! I'm Diana, and I'm thrilled to be the first veterinary oncologist in Dubai, joining the amazing team at Karas Veterinary Clinic in JLT. My passion for helping pets began with an Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Évora in 2014. Since then, my journey has taken me across the globe—splitting my internship between North Shore Veterinary Hospital in sunny Sydney, Australia, and Montenegro Veterinary Hospital in beautiful Porto, Portugal.

I've always been a bit of a "vet-venturer," attending various national and international congresses to stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine. In April 2018, I completed the Level I Ultrasound Course at Improve International. The following year, I attended a Continuing Education Program in Veterinary Oncology at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto. My quest for knowledge led me to complete a Postgraduate Degree in Internal Medicine I at ESAVS, Utrecht in October 2021, and most recently, a Postgraduate Degree in Oncology at Improve Veterinary Education in September 2023.

Before landing in Dubai, I headed the oncology department at Allvetcare Veterinary Hospital in Portugal, where I specialized in companion animals. Now, I'm excited to bring my expertise in veterinary oncology to Karas Veterinary Clinic, helping pets in Dubai live healthier, happier lives.

When I'm not wearing my vet coat, I'm a mom of two energetic kids who keep me on my toes—it's like herding cats, except I have one of those at home too! We have a senior dog named Honey and a mischievous young cat named Jade, both adopted and full of personality. I love spending quality time with my family, diving into personal development books, and whipping up delicious meals for friends and loved ones—chocolate is my not-so-secret ingredient!

Ćao, I'm Dr. Ajla, and it's been an incredible journey of growth and learning for me here at Karas Veterinary Clinic over the last two years. I began my educational journey at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Starting as a junior vet in this amazing clinic was like a dream come true, and it set me on a path I couldn't have imagined.

I've always been fascinated by the intricacies of surgery, and the opportunities here allowed me to specialize in what I love most—minimally invasive surgeries. My focus on surgical excellence perfectly aligns with the clinic's ethos, making it an ideal environment for me to flourish professionally.

Being part of a team that values accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and above all, compassionate care, has been incredibly rewarding. I couldn't have asked for a better platform to showcase my skills and to grow as a vet.

My ambition fuels me to continually strive for excellence in everything I do. It is a principle that beautifully integrates with the clinic's vision, helping me to contribute meaningfully to our shared goals.

The world of veterinary medicine is constantly evolving, and so am I. As I continue to grow professionally, I am excited about the new challenges that lie ahead, and even more excited about meeting them with the same dedication and smile that you've come to expect.

Zdravo!,  I'm Dr. Azijada, or as my clients fondly call me, Dr. Azi. I proudly joined the compassionate and dedicated team at Karas Veterinary Clinic in January 2024. Originally hailing from Bosnia and Herzegovina, I earned my veterinary degree from the prestigious Veterinary Faculty of the University of Sarajevo in 2021.

Growing up surrounded by animals, my journey into veterinary medicine began with a deep love for my first cat, which inspired my childhood dream to become a veterinarian. That passion for helping those who cannot speak continues to drive me in my career today.

During my studies, I developed a strong interest in veterinary surgery, but as I began practicing, my curiosity in internal medicine grew as well. One of the highlights of my educational journey was participating in a student exchange program in China, where I spent a year gaining invaluable experience working with small animals in an entirely different cultural and clinical environment.

At Karas Veterinary Clinic, my mission is to deliver exceptional veterinary care with the same passion I felt the first time I donned medical scrubs. I am committed to providing the highest standard of service to our beloved four-legged friends, ensuring they receive the best medical attention possible.

I am excited about the future and eager to continue growing professionally, all while ensuring your pets get the quality care they deserve. I look forward to welcoming you and your furry companions to Karas Veterinary Clinic and being a part of their health journey!

Marhaba, I'm Dr. Michael, My journey into veterinary medicine is deeply rooted in my early experiences. Growing up in a family that was closely knit with veterinarians gave me the incredible opportunity to be around animals from a young age. This nurtured a growing passion that eventually led me to pursue higher education in California, USA, before completing my degree at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.

The year 2016 marked a significant shift as I moved to Dubai, collaborating with some of the most reputable veterinary clinics in the region. But the dream was always to do something more—something that fully aligned with my lifelong passion for animal care.

In 2021, I took the plunge to bring that dream to life. Karas Veterinary Clinic was born out of a desire to create a high-standard veterinary facility focused on exceptional care and diagnostic accuracy.

Due to involving in a scientific research, I had to relocate outside UAE.
